I purchased the first edition of this book when I had RNY 5 years ago and learned so much from it! When I found myself struggling with a 20 pound regain 4 years later, I took the book off the shelf and re-read it. I was reminded of so many things that I had forgotten along the way. With the help of this book, I got back to the basics and cut out the bad habits that I allowed back in my life. My reclaimed weight is now gone and so are 25 additional pounds that I didn't lose in the first place!! This book helped me to remember that I have a tool but it doesn't work on it's own. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone considering weight loss surgery as well as anyone that is already post-op and needing to remember where they came from. Additionally, it's a wonderful book to share with friends and family members that have questions or concerns with your choice for surgery. Read it and pass it around the family!

The book is actually geared towards those that have had any form of restrictive gastric surgery, but I found it very helpful in making the final decision to have the surgery. It's straight forward and reads quickly. Can be read start to finish or just the area you're struggling with.

This book is very valuable if you are completely clueless about what you should do after weight loss surgery.

Of all the weight loss surgery books I've read, and there have been a few, *The Success Habits of Weight-Loss Surgery Patients* was barely memorable. In my opinion if you're truly serious about having weight loss, the best book you can get is "The REAL Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery". Having contemplated the surgery for well over 2 years, it is time to take the step to improving and hopefully prolonging my life. "The REAL Skinny..." will be the book I turn to again and again and one I will recommend to patients.
